【For a sharper run】

This hi-spec 2WD formula chassis is built around a 2.5mm thick carbon fiber lower deck and takes an LF battery pack (M-Size) in the center. Front suspension features 2.5mm thick carbon fiber lower arms and plastic upper arms, and camber angle is adjustable. Rear suspension has ball connectors equipped on the motor mount and the roll center is based around the rear suspension. The model centering is controlled by roll springs under the rear shaft, and friction grease on roll dampers at motor mount front allows adjustment of roll speed. The pitching is controlled by an FRP suspension plate and a TRF damper. The motor mount has parts for adjustment of ground clearance and wheelbase. Choose from two rear wing attachment methods.

【FEATURES】

  • Features plastic upper arms.
  • Camber angle is adjustable freely from +1 to -3 degrees (approximate) with 2mm hex wrenches.
  • Caster angle is also adjustable at 6, 9 and 12 degrees. (approximate).
    • How to adjust caster angle:
      1. Loosen screws.
      2. Adjust upper arm mounts.
      3. Tighten screws.
    • *The TRF 103 chassis offers similar adjustment, but requires changing of camber adjusters.

  • Suspension link and T-bar setup is not used. Instead, ball connectors are equipped at motor mount front and rear, and suspension roll is placed at the center of the chassis.
  • The model centering is controlled by roll springs under rear shaft, and friction grease on roll dampers at motor mount allow adjustment of roll speed.
  • The pitching is controlled by FRP suspension plate flex and a TRF damper.

  • Formula chassis can lose rear grip because of unbalanced weight. To prevent this problem, battery pack, receiver and servo are positioned at the center of chassis to ensure better rear grip.

  • Compatible with LF1100-6.6V battery packs (middle size). (Not LF2200-7.2V battery packs.)
  • The square-shaped battery holder is included for Li-Po battery packs to comply with overseas or open-class regulations.

  • Motor mount has parts for adjustment of ground clearance and wheelbase: 5 types of ground clearances are adjustable in 0.8mm steps and two wheelbases can be chosen with a difference of 2.5mm.
    • *The TRF103 chassis offers similar adjustment.

  • The laid down steering servo is positioned about 30mm backwards compared to the TRF103 chassis, and ensures a low center of gravity.
  • Features a choice of 4 types of steering linkage adjustments over a range of about 1.8mm length by changing ackerman plate position to keep direct steering.

  • Rear differential unit is the same as the one used for the TRF103 chassis. Lightweight and durable carbon fiber shaft limits weight, and ensures compatibility with rubber tires which are relatively heavy.

  • A 2mm thick carbon fiber plate is used to attach rear wing. In this case, rear wing is connected to motor mount and it moves along with rear suspension.
  • When adding separately sold Item 53596 Aluminum Servo Stays (Short) as wing mount to attach rear wing, rear wing is connected to suspension plate and it does not move along with rear suspension. (It remains horizontal even if rear suspension moves.)

  • Both brushless and brushed motors can be mounted. Use a kit-included aluminum motor plate to mount brushed motor.
