Tamiya welcomes another racing car – this time, the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 EVO II 1991 – paired with our popular TT-02 chassis. This car took part in the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) in 1991. Based upon the compact Mercedes-Benz 190 E, it was given improved aerodynamics with components such as over fenders, front and rear spoilers and a large rear wing, and employed a 2.5-liter inline-4 DOHC engine capable of 340hp. In the same year, the works team car sponsored by German beer brand König Pilsener secured second place in the Championship and brought the Manufacturer’s Championship to Mercedes-Benz.
