A Familiar Face
This R/C model assembly kit recreates a one-off Hilux Extra Cab created by Toyota (GB) PLC, capturing the form of the elongated 2-door extra cab in lightweight and durable polycarbonate. Plated front and rear light cases, plus side mirrors give an extra touch of class, while stickers are included to recreate the markings inspired by a Tamiya original. The CC-01 chassis provides highly capable off-road performance that’ll have you taking this special kit for many a drive over terrain both rough and smooth!

The All-Terrain CC-01 Chassis
The CC-01’s highly reliable and efficient full-time 4WD system features a longitudinally-positioned motor, which transmits power to the front wheels via the gearbox and to the rear wheels via propeller shaft with universal joints. Front and rear differentials enable smooth cornering, and for even greater off-road performance on rough terrain, the rear differential may be locked. The chassis suspension employs double-wishbone front upper single links and lower H-shaped arms plus rear rigid suspension. With CVA oil dampers front and rear, there’s enough cushion to take on even the roughest surfaces, and the stylish chrome wheels with block pattern tires give a realistic look.

★Independent plated headlight case parts can be fitted with separately sold LEDs for a super-realistic look.

★Iconic logo designs aplenty are recreated by included stickers. Side mirrors are also separate parts.

★Gleaming chrome wheels are paired with block tread tires for an awesome look and a thrilling drive.

★The ladder-type bathtub frame of the CC-01 not only looks the part, it provides a proven, sturdy base.

★Left: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery (we like to think): the original Tamiya model in the fore and full-size car at the back.

★Right: The full-size Hilux Extra Cab featured nods to the R/C model such as outsized antenna and even a receiver switch!
