【The “Big E”】

Commissioned in 1961, the USS Enterprise was nicknamed the “Big E” and was the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. This assembly kit depicts the ship as she appeared after she completed her refit in 1982. The kit features excellent engineering and a high level of detail throughout, with approximately one hundred parts used to recreate the bridge alone. Parts for various vehicles as well as forty aircraft are included for to allow for a busy flight deck and the model also comes with a stand to enable a gorgeous display.

【Specifications】

• This plastic model assembly kit of the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the Enterprise, completed in 1961 and known by the nickname “Big E”.
• The model was built after the refit work carried out between 1979 and 1982.
• The voluminous hull is faithfully reproduced in two parts to show the subtle lines of the hull.
• Three metal frames are used for the interior, and the huge sponsons protruding from both sides of the hull are molded as one piece to provide sufficient strength.
• The bridge structure, consisting of approximately 100 parts, is also sharply finished, including the radar.
• The set also includes a towing tractor, a mobile crane truck, and a total of 40 aircraft of five models and eight aircraft each, including the F-18A Hornet, as well as a display stand and ship’s name plate.
